Hailing from Surrey and South Wales in the UK, Tree House Fire are a 5-piece reggae/dub band that play their own style of upbeat, catchy songs with infectious hooks, soothing grooves and stomping beats, tailor-made to get you moving! The popularity of the band has seen them share the stage with the likes of The Skints, Sonic Boom Six, Jaya the Cat, The Beat, The Selecter and New York ska legends The Toasters, along with numerous festival appearances including the UK’s largest reggae and ska festival, Boomtown Fair, alongside established acts such as Damian Marley, Madness, Cat Empire and Anthony B, to name a few. Released in May 2012 on Trench Foot Records and recorded at Jamtown Studio in South Wales, the band’s debut album “Rocket!” has received critical acclaim from fans of an eclectic range of musical styles. Consisting of 15 original tracks, “Rocket!” continues to be popular both at live shows and through iTunes and Amazon, as well as racking up the plays on Spotify. After completing a highly successful pledge campaign on the crowd funding website PledgeMusic, 2014 saw the release of “Actions & Reactions” – the second full length album from the band – on their own label, Jamtown Recordings. Fusing reggae, hip hop and ska with a rock infusion, the release spent a number of weeks in the top 5 of the iTunes Reggae Chart and has strengthened the band’s growing reputation both with their loyal fan-base and further afield. In the summer of 2016 the band released “Coming in Hot”, a 6-track semi-acoustic EP which showcased both the band’s musical maturity and their ability to write soulful, melodic reggae with thought-provoking lyrics. The release was supported by a video for the title track from the EP which features on the band’s YouTube channel – a channel that has received in excess of 75,000 views to date. With several tours of Europe under their belts as well as radio play in America, Australia and on the UK’s BBC Radio 1, Tree House Fire have successfully introduced their style of music to a wide ranging audience and, through their live sets, continue to create a party atmosphere wherever they go.
